A little bit about me...
My name is Kirstie and I'm a 30 year old nail tech and beautician from Whitstable, I'm growing my business after moving here in 2021 from Sidcup. I listen to a range of music from 50s/60s music to Metal, I enjoy going to concerts too. In my spare time, I love to watch nail and beauty videos and practice my nail and beauty skills.
My Story...
Hello, my name is Kirstie and I'm 30 years old, I started doing mine and my friend's nails in 2019. I decided to enroll onto a nail course after becoming a single parent and being made redundant within 6 months of each other. In March 2020, I joined a Level 3 Nail Technician course to complete my dream of becoming a nail tech, It was very exciting to learn a new skill that would become my full-time job. Between March and September of 2020, I did some other beauty courses, including Lash Lift & Tint, Brow Lamination & Tint, Facials, Spray Tans, and Waxing. During lockdown, I kept practising on my nails to develop and improve my skills.
In August 2021, I moved from Sidcup to Whitstable. This was very exciting for me as it meant I could go from doing mobile-only treatments to doing both home salon and mobile treatments. It was difficult growing my clientele again but it has been worth it and I'm very lucky that all my clients are lovely people. Also in 2021, I enrolled on a Level 3 Massage and Level 3 Makeup course, I enjoyed both of these courses and met some amazing people.
In May 2024, I entered the UK Hair and Beauty Awards for Best Gel Nails. Although I didn't make the UK Top 50, I did get awarded the Hair and Beauty Awards Highly Recommended in Best Gel Nails. My goal is to make the UK Top 50 next year.
